Kanros Cloud Terms of Service

Template for review — have qualified counsel review before relying on this.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

DRAFT pending lawyer review. These terms have not yet been reviewed by counsel and may change before Kanros Cloud accepts paid subscriptions.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between CC Conceptualise GmbH, Kolonnenstraße 8, 10827 Berlin, Germany (“kanros”, “we”, “us”) and the business that accepts them (“Customer”, “you”). They govern your use of Kanros Cloud, the hosted service at app.kanros.dev, and its APIs (the “Service”). By creating an organisation or using the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of your business.

The kanros command-line tool, GitHub Action, VS Code extension and SDKs are not covered by these Terms. They are provided free of charge under the kanros software license; see the License page.

1. The Service

Kanros Cloud stores and analyses evaluation runs, traces, red-team campaigns and reports for LLM applications, and lets members of your organisation share and review them. The Service is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the Italy North region (EU). The features available to you depend on your plan.

2. Business customers only

The Service is offered exclusively to entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB (businesses, freelancers, public bodies), not to consumers. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you act in the course of your trade, business or profession. You must be authorised to bind the organisation you register.

3. Accounts and seats

Each seat is for one named user and must not be shared. You are responsible for keeping credentials and API keys confidential, for the accuracy of account information, and for all activity in your organisation. Notify us promptly at security@kanros.dev of any unauthorised use.

4. Plans, quotas and fees

Plans (currently Free, Pro and Team) include usage quotas per rolling 30-day window (for example spans, eval cells and red-team reports), seat and project limits, and a data retention period. When a quota is reached, further usage of that metric is refused until the window frees capacity or you upgrade; we do not charge overage fees.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor Stripe. All prices are in euros and exclude VAT, which is added where applicable; for customers in other EU member states with a valid VAT ID, the reverse-charge procedure applies. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period; fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law. A Pro trial ends after 14 days and reverts to the Free plan unless you subscribe. We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, which apply from your next renewal; you may cancel before they take effect.

If payment fails, we may suspend paid features after reminding you and allowing at least 14 days to settle the invoice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:

  • resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to third parties as a hosted or managed service, except to your own affiliates and contractors working for you;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or circumvent any security, authentication or quota measure, other than through the responsible-disclosure process in our Security overview;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to submit, or use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful material;
  • interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service, including by exceeding reasonable rate limits.

Red teaming, adversarial prompting and jailbreak testing of your own LLM applications, and of models you are permitted to test, are intended uses of the Service.

6. Customer Data

You retain all rights in the traces, prompts, datasets, outputs, results and reports you submit to or generate with the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, process and transmit Customer Data solely to provide, secure and support the Service. Where Customer Data contains personal data, we process it as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these Terms. We store Customer Data in the EU and delete it at the end of your plan's retention period, or on termination as set out in the DPA. You are responsible for the lawfulness of Customer Data and for not uploading secrets you do not intend to store (such as provider API keys inside prompts).

7. Our rights

The Service, including its software, design and documentation, remains our property or that of our licensors. During your subscription we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes. We may use feedback you give us without obligation.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation unless agreed in a separate service-level agreement. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We may develop the Service further; we will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a paid period.

9. Third-party services

The Service can call LLM providers and other services that you configure. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and you are responsible for their fees and usage restrictions.

10. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply to paid plans, subject to this Section. Free plans are provided without warranty to the extent permitted by law. Evaluation and red-teaming results depend on probabilistic model outputs; we do not warrant that they are complete or suitable for a particular decision, and you must review them before relying on them.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht, an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract, and in any case to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Any further liability is excluded. For Free plans, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence to the extent permitted by law. These limits also apply to our employees, representatives and agents.

12. Term and termination

These Terms apply for as long as you have an organisation on the Service. You may close your organisation at any time. Either party may terminate for good cause (aus wichtigem Grund). We may suspend access immediately where needed to protect the Service or comply with law, and will tell you why. After termination you have 30 days to export Customer Data, after which we delete it in accordance with the DPA.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not object before the changes take effect, they become part of the agreement; we will point out this consequence in the notice. If you object, either party may terminate with effect from the date the changes would apply.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law, or have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.
